Hood Hampshire Honey

View Profile

Hood Hampshire Honey is a small business which has evolved from my love of bees and a passion for what was initially a hobby. I have been beekeeping since 2012 and as a result of the number of hives I keep, which is over 20, I joined the Hampshire Farmers Markets in 2019 in order to sell this wonderful produce which my healthy bees give me. The hives produce different types of honey which varies from year to year due to the weather conditions. The honey is not filtered, heated, blended or mixed with other substances and is sold in different sized jars including teddy bear containers. I also make various beeswax products such as hand made candles, polish, hand and lip balms, and two different sizes of food wraps, using wax mainly from the honey cappings. To complement the bee products, I make different home made jams from fruits I forage during the Summer. Bees and all pollinators are crucial to our existence and must be nurtured by us, for the human race to exist now and into the future. The money I earn from selling my produce is used to support “Bees Abroad” and keep my bees healthy, fed and in well maintained equipment, so come and celebrate the wonder of these incredible insects by purchasing the best of what nature can give us.
